Since 2013, a secret unassuming vineyard and nursery was started in the windy hills above The Dalles, Oregon. Warmed by the eastern sun, cooled by the eastern winds, this vineyard site straddles the line between the high desert plateau and the alpine shadow of Mt. Hood.
Only on the edge can you grow the best grapes. Only on the edge can you make the best wines.

2021
’Rare Clones’ Cabernet Sauvignon
Each year we learn more and more about what these rare clones need. From the pruning, canopy style, ripeness level, and extraction, experience is the best technique. Made from Clones 2 & 31, our “rare Clones” Cabernet Sauvignon is a journey into what is possible in the Columbia Gorge. We fermented and aged the wine in our exclusive Tonnellerie Quintessence wooden eggs. The wine is a gorgeous dark garnet color with layers and layers of smoked paprika, river stone, dust, blackberries, and roses. Unfined (vegan). Unfiltered. Low Sulfur.
100% Oregon.
2019 BLV ‘South Bank’ Red Wine
The cooler 2019 vintage allowed us the opportunity to use all of the traditional Bordeaux grapes grown in our vineyard. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. We fermented and aged the wine in our exclusive Tonnellerie Quintessence wooden eggs. This wine reminds us of the great Bordeaux’s of the 1980’s with finished alcohol of 12.22% no less! The wine is a gorgeous dark garnet color with layers and layers of smoked paprika, river stone, dust, blackberries, and roses. Unfined (vegan). Unfiltered. Low Sulfur.

2018 ‘BLV’ Cabernet Sauvignon
Our “Inaugural Release” was a revelation. James Moss was right, these clones will redefine Cabernet Sauvignon in the Northwest. Fermented and aged in our exclusive Tonnellerie Quintessence wooden eggs, this wine takes you back in time. It brings you back to Cab from Napa in the 1980’s. Unfined (vegan). Unfiltered. 100% Oregon.
